Eskisehir Soccer

Eskisehir is famously known in Turkey for having the largest number of Crimean Turks as its residence.   Historically the first wave of Crimean Turks to arrive in Turkey occurred after the annexation of the Khanate of the Crimean Tatars by Czarist Russia in 1783 and second wave of  Crimean Turks arrived  in the 1930’s,  and additional wave if arrivals in the 1950’s and early 1960’s, post the deportation of the Crimean Tatars on May 18, 1944 by Soviet communist Stalin.  As a result of this amalgamation of time and culture, needless to say,  our Crimean Turks members from Eskisehir are famously  known as  “Eskisehirler”.    They are a confluence of Crimean and Turkish culture and express it in the most passionate  manner.  As other Crimean Turks, they are deeply grateful and appreciative of Turkey their rise  to assist Crimean Turks during its historical turmoil.  The Association hosted its first Eskisehir Soccer Team dinner in 2009 with great popularity and is moving forward to build on this support.  Check our Association website calendar on its upcoming events.
