Ismail Gaspirali School

The American Association of Crimean Turks by-laws established the formation of its Association school named after the Crimean Tatar intellectual, educator, publisher, reformist and politician,  Ismail Gasprinsky  born 1851- 1914.   Ismail Gasprinsky School holds week-end classes with a curriculum in  indigenous Crimean Tatar and modern Turkish languages , and Crimean Tatar folk dance is also taught by professional Crimean Tatar instructors. Students  ranging from age five years (5) to ninteen (19) years of age participate at these classes.  The School also commemorates and honors historical events such as, Numan Celebi Cihan Day; Ismail Gasprinsky Day;  Commemoration on the deportation of Crimean Tatars from their homeland on May 18, 1944;  23 Nisan Cocuk Bayrami (ATATURK).
