Cemetary Plots

The American Association of Crimean Turks Inc., in keeping with Crimean Tatar burial traditions has reserved cemetery plots for its members and family.   The burial rites are particularly emotional for the Crimean Tatars after the deportation of the Crimean Tatars on May 18, 1944, Soviet officials demolished all cultural monuments and cemeteries in an effort to erase Crimean Tatars from history.  The installation of monument with Crimean Tatar tamga (national symbol) on Washington Park burial grounds is testament to the wonderful work of the  American Association of Crimean Turks.
